Abstrak
There are many challenges that arise in the industrial revolution 4.0 for companies. Every company tries to survive and gain competitive advantage in the market. This article aims to analyze the conditions of the industrial revolution 4.0 and show the role of innovation in improving corporate perfomance. Various literatures are collected and analyzed to produce conclusions. the first conlusion obtained is that companies must be prepared to face the industrial revolution 4.0 by choosing the right strategies such as innovation strategies. Second, although the innovation strategy requires large resources and the risk of failure in its implementation, many studies or cases in the field show the usefulness of innovation that can generate large profits and increase the company's ability to compete in the market. Third, innovation can affect the company's performance to deal with the industrial revolution 4.0.
